Possession of Guns – Prohibited Persons Declaration

It is an offence for a person who is prohibited by Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968 to have a firearm or ammunition in his/her possession at any time during their prohibition.

This applies to any person who has been sentenced to ‘custody for life’, ‘preventive detention’, ‘imprisonment’, ‘corrective training’ or to ‘youth custody’ or ‘detention in a young offender’s institution’ for three months or more.

A person sentenced to 3 years or more is prohibited for life.

A person sentenced to a period between 3 months and 3 years is prohibited for 5 years from the date of release.

Anyone prohibited by Article 63 of the Firearms (Northern Ireland) Order 2004 shall be deemed to be prohibited within England, Wales and Scotland.

 

As of 14th July 2014 – Suspended sentences of 3 months or more also prohibit the possession of firearms for 5 years. This applies retrospectively to such sentences awarded on or after the 12th July 2009.

It is an offence to make a false declaration.

In ordering an activity that involves the use of guns, you declare that you, or any of your party are not a prohibited person by virtue of Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968 or Article 63 of the Firearms (Northern Ireland) Order 2004.

 

Filming, photography and broadcasting

Filming, photography and broadcasting may take place during events/activities on the Estate.

All persons on the Estate give their express consent to the use of their actual or simulated likeness and voice in connection with the production, exploitation and advertising of the Estate without compensation or credit, throughout the world.

Many of these images are used for commercial purposes such as appearing on the Estate website, on social media channels and in print.

If you do not wish to be included in any photographs please notify your instructor prior to your activity.

VOUCHERS

Vouchers – on line, please note that all vouchers are valid for 6 months only. Vouchers may be extended for a small admin fee of £10 per voucher for a further 3 months only. They are not extendable after the validity date has expired. Vouchers are non refundable and non transferable.
