The one and a half acre lake here on the Estate has been described as perhaps the finest small dry-fly lake in Derbyshire. In Summer the lake abounds with natural fly life.

The Lake at Yeaveley Estate

The lake is open 9am – Tuesday to Saturdays in 2026 from the 1st May 2026 to 19th September 2026 from 9.00 a.m. We are closed on all Sundays & Mondays.  Closing time is 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. The number of rods are strictly limited to six and therefore booking is essential. Booking is arranged by telephoning the gunroom on (01335) 330247 or email co*******@****************co.uk. The bag limit is 3 fish, which are your first three fish caught. Thereafter catch a release on barbless hooks a further five fish. Extra fish may be purchased.

As shooting often takes place on the estate you are respectively requested to obey any signs directing you to the lake by alternative routes.

The banks are mown grass. There is also a small fishing lodge where you are welcome to rest. Toilets are available at the main lodge less than one hundred metres from the lake.
