We hold regular Clay Shooting Competitions the most popular is our Open 50 bird English Clay Sporting Competitions on certain Sunday mornings. There is a rolling calendar on the home page that shows up and coming clay shooting events. There is a reduced price for those 16 years and under, please mention this at the desk when paying.

These clay shooting events are open for any shooter to attend & prior booking is not required.

Guests who do not hold a shotgun certificate are welcome (if accompanying a Shotgun certificate holder – they must have their certificate with them). We would ask that you advise the booking in desk on arrival if this is the case so that we can ensure the safety of everyone on the grounds.There are no exceptions to this rule. Please note we do not accept cards payments for these events.

Entries open at 10.00a.m & close promptly at 12pm. Last cards in by 1.15pm.

A typical clay shooting Sunday event comprises of a minimum of 7 stands , all with markers and  automatic traps. The course is usually designed to provide a suitable challenge for the average shooter but there is always something for the experienced shot.

We are a STRICTLY FIBRE WAD GROUND ONLY – we sell all calibres of cartridges in the Lodge.Please ensure that you have your shotgun certificate with you if you wish to purchase cartridges. There are no exceptions to this as it is a legal requirement.

Breakfast, hot & cold drinks are available in the Lodge throughout the Shoot.

We operate a handicap system & provide prizes for High Gun/Veterans class/AA/A /B & Ladies.
