Our one day Loaders course has been designed to strengthen and develop your existing skills enabling you to enhance your shooting skills within the loading and assisting role. The Yeaveley Loaders Course will cover all the aspects of the loaders role including the safety rules and regulations, single and double gun loading, etiquette and equipment.

You will be offered coffee and tea upon your arrival at the shooting lodge where you will meet your APSI qualified Instructor who will take you through all the safety procedures of the day.

On completion of this course you will know what is expected of a loader and have a good understanding of:

Safety

  • Gun Handling in the vehicle, in the field, with the client
  • Control and Guidance of the Client

Loading

  • Single gun loading
  • Double gun loading

Suitable equipment

  • Gun slips, handguards, glasses, hearing and eye protection, multi tool, cleaning equipment, large cartridge bag.

Risk Assessment and Risk Management

  • Visual assessment of likely dangers or problems, preventative and/or corrective measure

Additional information:

  • You do not need to bring cartridges as this will be provided by the Yeaveley Estate
